At Pechanga, it goes off on average every 3.3 minutes, so 6 minutes is really just an average. Average is every 6 minutes/30 spins per machine if all 8 machines are going at once (total among all 8 would be 200-250 spins before the bonus triggers again).
Just make sure if you go to Vegas and play that there are 7 other players playing with you (at least 5) or it will take forever to get the bonus.
